Week of 5/18
Hi Kindergarten!
I hope you liked singing a spring time song last week. I got some videos of students who accepted the challenge and did ALL the moves! YOU ROCK!
This week, I'm singing you another song. This song tells a familiar story. I have attached you a worksheet that you can print out and color to create your own finger puppets. (The worksheet can be found in my email and on Microsoft Teams). Watch the video two times. Once using the finger puppets tell the story with me. The second time you watch it try to sing along.
Let me know what you think!
Love,
Mrs. Madison
Week of 5/11
Hi Kindergarten!
I hope you liked beatboxing and dancing like a robot. I got a few beatboxing videos and they were GREAT! I am SOO HAPPY that it finally feels like Spring. And in honor of this beautiful weather, I just HAD to share my favorite Spring-Time song with you. Isn't it amazing how nature seems to just appear out of nowhere during this time of year. Trees grow nice and tall, flowers bloom and all the little baby animals are born. I LOVE it! This song is TRICKY. Listen to it twice. The first time just copy my movements. The second time, try to sing along with me. Make sure you let me know if you love this song as much as I do.
Love,
Mrs. Madison
Week of 5/4
Hello Kindergarten!
I found this video and thought it was so COOL that i just had to share it with you all!
Watch the video, then try some Beatboxing and robot moves on your own! Send me a video of your Beatboxing/dancing if you'd like.
After you experiment with Beatboxing, answer the following questions:
1. What instrument are you imitating when you Beatbox?
2. When you Beatbox, are you making a rhythm or a steady beat?
3. Can you think of any other words or sounds you might be able to use to make a cool Beatbox pattern?

Good Morning Kindergarten!
Week of 4/20
Week of 4/13
For this week's assignment I made a video for you called Tubby the Tuba. You may have heard this story before. That is OK. It never hurts to hear a great story twice. After you watch the video, discuss the questions the end with a sibling, guardian or even a stuffed animal! Then complete the worksheet below. You may turn in the worksheet if you'd like using the form below.
Week of April 6, 2020
Lets use music to help keep each other healthy. Create your own short dance routine to your favorite song that incorporates the different ways we are recommended to wash our hands (scrubbing nails, between fingers, etc).
HAVE FUN! : )
When you’re finished, record a video of your dance and send it to me using the form below
*Optional Extension: Write and record your own song about washing your hands!
